Ayden's Nursery (Munchkin Collaboration)
This is a compensated campaign in collaboration with Munchkin and Latina Bloggers Connect, all opinions are my own.
Hi Loves,
I’m so excited to finally share with you Ayden’s Nursery. I know I have been telling you guys forever that I will be sharing, but I wasn’t complete with it and now that I am, I am so happy to share with you all the details I put into his room. I teamed up with Munchkin to give you a glimpse of what I call a little piece of heaven in my home.
When I was pregnant with Ayden the first thing that popped in my head besides “omg I’m pregnant” is how am I going to decorate my babies nursery. I knew that I wanted it to feel warm and cozy and I truly believe I accomplished that. Since I didn’t know the sex of my child as I started to decorate I knew I wanted neutral colors, so I went with what people call grey and beige mixed together “Greige”. White accents went great with this color so I was excited to put in the Munchkin diaper pail which by the way is beyond amazing and a must in anyone’s registry. For Annabelle’s room I went with another diaper pail and the order was horrible.
STEP Diaper Pail is the only pail that combines best in class odor control with a modern, sleek aesthetic that looks great in any style nursery. I honestly wish I found it sooner, my daughter loves to help mommy by stepping on the foot petal. I promise you guys if you are looking for a pail this is the one, you can find it at Target.
For the rest of the room I added elephant accents and took old shelving from my husband’s walk in closet to create shelving for my son’s clothes and shoes. Most of all the accents I purchased at Home Goods. I added a big white shag rug, perfect for tummy time and for my daughter to play on if I am sitting in the rocker breastfeeding Ayden. I love the big wall “Dream” light, it’s such a cute alternative to a night light. I also love the wood shelf next to the changing table, it’s so different from a normal shelf. Above my sons rocker I actually made his custom name frame, If you guys want a tutorial definitely let me know.
My favorite part of my son’s room has to be the pictures I put above his crib which is a picture of my maternity shoot that was shot in LA by Lori Dorman. It’s a moment I like to look back on as I hold my son in my arms when we are in his room. I also put up pictures of his newborn shoot and a picture with his sister which gives a special touch. Though we don’t spend a lot of time in the nursery because Ayden is still sleeping next to me I know once he starts to crawl around and play he is going to love his room as much as mommy does. If you need more ideas head over to my Pinterest and check out some fun ideas I pinned and I promise I will be filming a room tour for both my children’s rooms really soon.
Peace & Love,
Lissette
