A very Mickey 1st Birthday
As a blogger, sometimes content gets lost in the archives, so this year I decided that I will be sharing the posts that never made it to the blog. I have been telling myself for the last two years that I need to share Ayden's first birthday party, but having to go through all the pictures was a tedious task I was avoiding. This party was a labor a love, and I have to say it's still one of my favorite parties I've thrown. Since we skipped throwing big parties for the kids this year, I figured I share this one.
If you guys remember, Annabelle's 2nd birthday party was also a Mickey themed party, but hers was more of a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse theme. I wanted to make sure Ayden's party was different in some ways and special for my little boy. During this time Ayden was super obsessed with Mickey, so it was an obvious choice to throw him the ultimate Mickey Party. I found most of the items on Etsy and Party City. I will try to link as much as possible because it was so long ago, but I would suggest going on Etsy. I used some of the items from Annabelle's party for table centerpieces, and of course, the treats were made by local businesses.
For entertainment, I hired a Mickey impersonator which Ayden loved. The kids loved dancing and playing with Mickey, and he even helped sing Happy Birthday. I also created a kid-size photo booth for the kids to take cute pictures. The party was such a hit with everyone, and most importantly Ayden.
