Hey Babes,

It's been a while since I shared my last travel with you guys. With everything going on in the world, t traveling abroad is not in the cards for most of us, and like most of you, I have my reservations about traveling anywhere right now. There are those people who are homebodies and those of us that need new scenery to fuel our souls; If you have not guessed by now, I am the latter of the two. Traveling helps me create and have peace of mind, and that's why I have taken full advantage of what Airbnb has to offer.

Airbnb is the perfect alternative for a traveler like myself. I am lucky to live in New Jersey because I have great options during the winter season, like upstate NY, Connecticut, Vermont, and PA. I recently shared that I rented a beautiful cabin in upstate New York to shoot some content and have a relaxing girl's weekend with Geri. The location was an hour and a half drive for me and perfect for a relaxing weekend. As soon as I pulled up to this beautiful modern style cabin, all my anxiety drifted away. Airbnb had so many options for me to pick from, and even better, there was no contact with anyone. Now more than ever, hosts are taking precautions to make sure guests feel safe when staying in their homes. This quick little weekend away was perfect for me and an excellent option for anyone looking to getaway. I was able to tap into my creative side and relax at the same time.

Let's talk about the beautiful Airbnb I rented. Every year I shoot a Holiday look book for you guys, so this year with Covid, I decided that shooting in the City was not a safe option for me, so I decided it would be best to shoot at a location away from people. I told Geri, let us rent an Airbnb not too far from home. She found this beautiful Airbnb called The Elton House, and I immediately knew it was the perfect space. Nestled in Kerhonkson, New York, United States, this space is the ideal getaway from the City. If you are about aesthetically pleasing places to stay, this is it. The Bio indeed says it all, "The Elton House is an upstate home designed for modern living in the middle of nature. Come to unwind in the woods, catch up on a good book by our fireplace, or play some board games with friends and family. It's the perfect weekend getaway for the overworked New Yorker!"

Per the Bio The Elton House is recently renovated and has two spacious bedrooms with views of the woods that leads to a dead-end road. I truly loved the Yellow Book Nook, which as the host states, is a nod to Elton John's famous song; the bookshelf which is full of National Geographic magazines with volumes ranging from the 1940s to today. This section of the home is complemented with a mid-century yellow fireplace. I also loved the beautiful green cabinets in the kitchen and topped with a cement countertop. The living room has a beautiful hunter green leather couch, and the bathroom has an Instagram-worthy wallpaper. The floors are this beautiful light wood, and it also has a gorgeous loft on the 2nd floor. The Super host was beyond helpful and kind. There were excellent options for food delivery, as well. We found a Dominican restaurant called Danny's place, which was so good. We also received great recommendations from the host on what to do and local restaurants.

As much as I would love everything to get back to normal, Covid has helped me realize that there is plenty to enjoy and be thankful for locally. Airbnb hosts so many great local homes for people to rent for weekend getaways and still feel safe during these times. As always, I urge you all to stay safe and do your research, but if you feel you need a getaway, there are options. There are cities with different quarantine rules, so always do your research before booking any travel. If you are someone that would like a different scenery renting out a home for a few weeks is a great way to decompress. I plan on renting out a house through Airbnb with the kids this January because a little cabin stay would do us some good this winter. As always, if you have questions regarding this stay, feel free to leave a comment.

Peace & Love,
