Hi Babes, it’s a beautiful Monday here in New Jersey but oh how I wish was back in Colombia. In my last post, I shared all about the food, and now I want to share all about one of the accommodations. There are two Sofitel locations in Colombia; Sofitel Legend Santa Clara and Sofitel Baru. Today I am going to share about Sofitel Baru and why it’s a must-visit. Humo Restaurant
This dinner-only robata grill concept draws its influences from Japanese, Chinese, Thai, French and Peruvian cuisines. The menu changes regularly, showcasing only seasonal products. This venue is perfect for guests looking for a unique and innovative dinner experience that highlights the tasting notes of the freshest local ingredients.
Bahía Restaurant
Overlooking the magic waters of the Caribbean, a unique slow-cooking grill offers mouthwatering dishes that will be perfectly coupled with local cocktails. Refined yet unpretentious dishes with South American influences transition to a new and fresh surf and turf concept for evening in this al fresco and relaxed Bohemian style venue.Cold and raw dishes such as salads, ceviche or crudos are fresh and light. Cooked dishes such grilled fish, charred beef, and roasted vegetables are prepared on our slow-cooking grill.

To bring their FOOD TRUCK to life, the hotel invited the local YOR artist Luis Canabal, who with his talent and creativity managed to capture the essence of the island of Barú with its flora and fauna, in addition to the traditional palenquera that he makes a fundamental part of the identity of the Colombian Caribbean with a work called SOMOS CARIBE”
