Tea Time Baby Shower

Happy Friday Loves,

So many of you wanted me to share my Baby Shower and to be honest the reason it took this long to share was simply because there were so many pictures to go through. I finally had the time and energy to go through them and I have to say I'm pretty impressed with myself. I planned my whole shower alone while pregnant and if you have ever been pregnant you know the lack of energy you have , so the fact I pulled it off is a bonus in itself . I loved how everything turned out and now I can finally share with all of you.

Because it was my second go around at being pregnant, I didn't want a huge shower. I decided it would be cost efficient to have something in my own home. I was lucky to have my living room area empty as I was redecorating at the time, so everything fell into place. Honestly if you have an area in your home that you can move furniture into for the day I would say you can do the same, or even if you have a nice size backyard.

My advice when planning a shower in your home is have a small guest list. You can google table and chair rentals in your area, which should not be expensive at all. You can find a catering restaurant or recruit family members to make food. I chose a tea party theme so I had pastries on the tables and had a local restaurant make 4 platters of food which was way too much . For my favors I chose to give mason jars filled with assorted tea and a cute tea spoon I purchased in bulk from amazon, the tags I created on pic monkey. I also created a cute photo station and left a Polaroid instant camera for my guest to take pictures.

All the accents for the day were either purchased on Amazon or Etsy and I simply just created tea party props on my computer.
For the table cloths I went to the dollar store and snagged these lace tablecloths and topped them off with fabric I sewed into square shapes for the middle.
The tea cups and pots I got at HomeGoods.
The games I purchased templates from Etsy as well.
I hung lace umbrellas on the ceiling that I glued faux flowers to.

Overall I spent very little on the party and it really came out how I visioned.
